Wedding MC Jokes
If you've been asked to be Master of Ceremonies at a wedding
then you're going to need some good Wedding
MC Jokes to really shine. While you shouldn't steal the limelight
from the other speakers, you do have a pivotal role on the wedding
day by ensuring that the reception goes to plan, and part of that
will involve you making announcements to the guests - the arrival
of the bride and groom, the serving of dinner and cutting the
cake are just a few examples.
When preparing for the role of Wedding MC, first check with the
bride and groom what they expect you to do on the day. The role
will vary from wedding to wedding, and you need to know exactly
what is expected of you in order to allow you to fully prepare
yourself.
Write down everything so you have a plan and can help guide the
wedding reception so it all runs smoothly and on time. Make notes
about each of the speakers and make sure you have each of their
names for the introductions.
Prepare your introductions and make sure you know how to make
the big announcements.
By planning correctly you'll do the job well, but with the
right jokes and one-liners you'll be able to do the job like a
pro.
- Always make sure your jokes are suitable for everyone at
the wedding. You don't want to risk offending anyone on the
day, so keep your jokes clean and suitable for anyone for
whatever age and whatever background.
- When you first speak you should aim to get the guests on
your side immediately - if they're behind you you'll find
everything easy to do and you may even find you enjoy it!
- If you're not used to public speaking then you may want to
rehearse in advance. Make sure your voice carries and if the
room is large check to see if there is a mic available.
